rigorous Interviews

We meet with all employees before hiring them to ensure they are a good fit for you and our company. 

Comprehension Tests

We have all applicants go through multiple tests and comprehension tests to make sure they understand how to provide the best care for you or a loved one.

 

Tuberculosis skin tests

All new employees receive a 1 or 2 step Tuberculosis skin test before they provide care to their patients. 

 

Driving history checks

All new employees have a driving history report run through the State database to ensure they are safe drivers when running errands or transporting their patients to doctor's appointments, grocery stores, families homes, or anywhere else. 

Criminal Background Checks

We check all employee’s background through the Pennsylvania State Police, multiple federal agency checks, and a Child Abuse Clearance and FBI Clearance through the Department of Human Services if you have a child in your home.

 

Initial and on-going training

All new employees are initially trained in all areas of in-home care, including providing personal care, how to manually transfer a patient, how to use a Hoyer lift or slide board, medication management, communication skills with their patients, proper hand washing, infection control, oral hygiene, how to care for patients who have Dementia, how to care for patients who are bedridden, adequate nutrition and fluid intake and many other areas.
